To ensure drivers receive personal contact and assistance, each driver is assigned a particular dispatcher. Smithway maintains a state-of-the art fleet of tractors utilizing conventional (engine-forward) tractors providing a comfortable ride for the driver. We utilize the latest trucking technology including on-board communications units. We operate relatively short-to-medium distances to return drivers home as frequently as possible. Company drivers average $44,000 in annual gross wages - $.40 cents per mile - average 110,000 miles per year.
